Pen & Ink Illustration

When clients are interested in a traditional and timeless look I often turn to the nib, brush and inkwell.

My inspiration comes from the great storybook and advertising illustrators of the late 19th and early 20th centuries like Arthur Rackham, Joseph Clement Coll, Charles Dana Gibson, James Montgomery Flagg and Heinrich Kley.

Sometimes I color them, but I like to keep the colors muted and not overpower the linework.
